Safari Overview

This 3 Day Tanzania Budget Safari you will get an opportunity to visit  Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Day 1: Safari Tarangire Park

The 3-days Budget Safari begins today. After breakfast departs to Tarangire for a game drive with packed lunch. This park is home to one of the largest elephant populations.

In addition, there are large numbers of impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, Bohor reedbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, Thompson’s gazelle, the greater and lesser kudu and on rare occasions, the unusual gerenuk and fringe –eared Oryx are also seen. A few black rhinos are also thought to be still present in this park. You will obviously see big numbers of elephants gather here as well as the wildebeests and zebras. Among the other common animals in the Tarangire are the leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetah that seem to be popular within the southern open areas. The wild dogs are only seen once in a while

There are over 545 species that have been identified here. The stunning yellow collared lovebirds and the shy starlings are in plenty here in addition to other species.

During dry season Tarangire remains the only source of water and consequently attracts large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, gazelles, zebras and hartebeest, buffaloes plus various predators like lions that come to drink and graze around the river banks. 

Dinner and overnight will be served at Lodge.

 

Day 2: Safari to Lake Manyara Park

After breakfast the tour departs and head to Manyara biosphere reserve for wildlife viewing drives, The park is sized 330 square kilometers of which 220 sq kilometers form the lake which is an alkaline lake found in this park that swells up and reduces in size basing on the seasons found within a long silvery bowl of salt deposits. The lake hosts a large number of pink flamingos in addition there are other wildlife like hippos that dwell in the shallow part of the river. The Park is also well known for the tree climbing lions and one of Tanzania’s biggest elephant population

Overnight will be at the Lodge.

 

Day 3: Safari from Ngorongoro to Arusha.

After an early breakfast, you will descend into this 20km-wide and 600m-deep volcanic caldera for a safari experience into the Ngorongoro crater to view wildlife. The crater is the largest Caldera in the world that has its walls intact, Its  floor is home to tens of thousands of plains animals, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, elands, and a large predator population of lions, hyena and jackal which can all be viewed at close quarters. The rare black rhino can be viewed here, and if you are lucky you can see cheetah and leopard.

Late in the afternoon transfer to Arusha for Overnight or transfer direct to the airport for drop off.
